golf in the jungle

This 27-hole private championship facility is built on an old rubber plantation and former tin mine in Southwest Malaysia. A high water table coupled with a clayey, rocky soil made the planning of the grading and construction process critical to the economic success of the project. The golf course was routed in the lower reaches of the site to take advantage of many remnant lakes left over from tin mining operations.

The residential areas within the golf course were master planned to take advantage of the slopes. The site plan provides each home site with a view to both the golf course and various lakes while allowing for drainage solutions and sound economic infrastructure design.
